Community of Hope
Community of Hope has many leaders who have years of experience as ordained ministers as well as men and women in the congregation with great experience in the marketplace and family. Together our leadership is composed of young and old, trained in the church and out, who live lives under the values and Lordship of Jesus.
Kim Smith
Senior Pastor
Pastor Kim has served First Church of the Nazarene, Community of Hope as the Senior Pastor since June 1999. His passion and desire is to see people meet Christ and develop a life changing relationship and become connected to other disciples. His weekly sermons emphasize the love, acceptance, and forgiveness of Jesus. He has been married to Rosie for 37 years and they have three children and 9 grandchildren.

Nick Peeples
Youth Pastor
Nick is a middle TN native who married his childhood sweetheart, Shelli! Together they have 2 beautiful daughters.
Nick is back for round two at Clarksville First Naz after a 3.5 yr sabatical:)
Nick wrestled and played football in high school and went on to play football in college for The Citadel Bulldogs! He has a BA in History and an MA in Religion/Christian Education from Northwest Nazarene University.
Nick is a terrible singer!
Nick’s favorite food group is “fried”
Nick likes that part of his job involves playing video games with teenagers:)
Nick's ministry passions are seeing teenagers come alive in Christ and helping them develop spiritual roots that will help guide through their lives beyond middle school and high school.

Ed Yeager
Children's Pastor
Ed his wife Jaime and their two sons Isaiah and Gideon moved to Clarksville in February 2010.
Ed’s goal is to provide opportunities for children to find their faith in Jesus Christ and allow them to prepare for a life of service to God.
Ed is continuing his quest to have the messiest office in the church but surprisingly may have the cleanest desk in the office.
Ed collects Pez and enjoys mountain biking, canoeing and fishing. (When it’s not too hot or too cold.)

Ron Bailey
Associate Pastor, Biker Ministry
Ron has been a member of the church since 1982 and was called to the ministry in 2002. He is serving as the Worship Support Leader, pastor of the Hope Ministries, Persons 50 years of age and older, and pastor of Hope Riders our Biker Ministry.

Brett Smith
Radical Mission, Compassionate Ministries
Brett is the pastor of Compassionate Ministries at Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene. Brett directs our in house non-profit organization Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries, which trains and mobilizes the church congregation into the mission of "Embracing Our Community Through Compassion". He also serves as the pastor of our Celebrate Recovery community.

Tara Smith
Discipleship Pastor
Tara is the pastor of Discipleship at Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene. She and Brett studied religion at Olivet Nazarene University before getting married and moving to Papua New Guinea as missionaries in volunteer service for a year. Tara will readily admit to being a big geek who loves studying, word-of-the-day calendars, and flow charts.

Leighanne Guthrie
Administrator
Leighanne has served as the Church Administrator since May of 2005. She, her husband Barry and 2 beautiful daughters have been a part of 1st Nazarene since 1999.
Her Ministry is to support the staff, keep them organized and assure that things run smoothly.
Leighanne's passion for the Community of Hope is to see lives changed and hope restored.

Donna Killebrew
Administrative Assistant
Donna has served as Administrative Assistant full time since July 1991. She worked at First Church part time from 1986 to 1990 while attending Austin Peay State University. She has been attending First Church since a small child and a member since 1977. Donna is married to husband, Danny, for 37 years. Their son is married with two sons. She and husband ride with the Hope Riders Biker Ministry, and she has been involved in the music/worship ministry for several years.. Donna’s ministry is in support to the staff and church community. Her desire is to show Jesus’ love to those who come weekly into the church office.
