HOPE Institute

Our discipleship emphasis centers around a 5 course program on Wednesday Nights. Each class lasts nearly 11 weeks long and was designed “in house” to facilitate dialogue and education with both new Christians and mature believers alike. These classes were developed to engage our mission, vision, doctrines, and ministry. This program has become a backbone on which our spiritual formation, introduction to the church and tracking individual participation rests. Throughout the 4 years that we have dedicated ourselves to this program, we have noticed an immense decrease in the number of people that “leave through the back door” amongst those that participate. We have currently placed nearly 200 adults through at least a portion of the Institute.

101: Introduction to Hope

Our first course in this program focuses on the building blocks of the Christian Faith. Throughout 11 weeks it is our desire to acquaint participants with our “grace-filled” relationship with God, the Story of God (Scriptures), prayer, fellowship, stewardship, and worship. It is our prayer that throughout this course they become believers and are moving toward baptism and church membership.

201: Capturing the Vision

Our second course in this program focuses on the Spirit-Filled life and entire sanctification. Throughout 11 weeks, participants spend time discussing the Fruit of the Spirit, Agape (Love), Sin as a relational divide, and God’s empowerment in our lives.

301: The Transformed Life

Our third course in this program focuses on a variety of issues surrounding our Christian faith that can both enhance or diminish our intimacy with God and others. Throughout 11 weeks we introduce Covenant, Spiritual Warfare, Our view of God, and Priorities.

401: Equipped to Share Hope

Our fourth course in this program focuses on preparation and involvement in ministry. Throughout, we desire to involve participants in a ministry that takes in account their gifts, personality, and our church mission. (Scriptures), prayer, fellowship, stewardship, and worship. It is our prayer that throughout this course they become believers and are moving toward baptism and church membership.

501: Fully Devoted Disciples

Our fifth course in this program is an intense introduction to issues of communal mission, justice, mercy, compassion, and solidarity with the broken and marginalized. All other courses point this direction.
