Hope Riders
Biker Sunday
The biker ministry was birthed in 2002 out of the vision and friendship between Reverend Kim Smith and Buddy Appleton, owner of Appleton’s Harley Davidson. On the first Biker Sunday the congregation was treated to the roar of Pastor Kim riding into the sanctuary on a Harley to begin the service with 27 bikes and riders in attendance.
After eight Biker Sundays it is still an incredible annual event supported each year by Appleton’s Harley Davidson, Bikers Who Care, Christian Motorcycle Association, Harley Owners Group and other organizations attracting over 200 bikes and 800 to 1000 people each year. It is envisioned that through the willingness and obedience of HOPE Riders to live a life of servanthood, Sharing Hope and Changing Lives will not be just a catch phrase but an everyday life style.
